| Born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, "Michael Shane" Gordon began working at an ABC Television Station as a teenager. Soon after, he moved his photojournalism/videography/editing career to Austin, Texas. Up from CBS KEYE 42, to KTBC Fox 7, he was honored with the Texas Associated Press Award for editing a documentary called, A Tour of Duty. Thereafter, Michael Shane was promoted to a weekly, investigative segment called 7 On Your Side.
Michael Shane’s true photographic calling was recognized when he began working in association with artist, Dawn Okoro. Utilizing Shane’s photographic expertise to glamorize women in contemporary, avant-garde, Pop Art light, Okoro painted these poses for her highly fashion-influenced works. Their complimentary relationship continues today. Michael Shane has moved on to become resident fashion photographer for INsite magazine. Shane sums up his photographic passion by saying: "Only the most beautiful subjects. Only the finest results. To collaborate an effort of the arts - photography, hair, make-up, direction, and the mission to find and then compliment an inner beauty."
